Cleaning Tips
1. Please wear bright clothes, gloves, and that you have both the trash picker and trash bag or bucket with you at all times.
2. To the greatest extent possible, remove litter and debris from public view areas like sidewalks, transit stops, commercial doorways, etc. This includes debris like cigarette butts, fast food containers, bottles and cans, abandoned clothes, and some of the weird stuff too. Try to leave no trash behind.
3. If at all possible, please do not use your hands to pick something up. That is why we have provided free trash pickers for you.
4. Please do not trespass on private property.
5. Take all necessary precautions including staying out of the street and handling concerning or dangerous items with care. If you aren't sure, leave it be and let us know. We have resource links below and other options for disposing of challenging yuck.
6. If you see someone who might be sleeping, please do not wake them or take any of their belongings. If you are not sure, leave it be. Additionally, if it looks like the items are going to be returned to and used, wait a few days before taking any action as those items may be very important to someone.
